EURO-RHYTHM SONG CONTEST

An evening of interactive music making, organized mayhem and point scoring to rival the best!

 

Dinner tables are strewn with an array of musical toys, throughout the night you are encouraged to create your own unique piece of music whilst interacting with the comedy duo. Finally you perform your new found skills to each other and award points, hoping not to receive the infamous 'nil point'.

 

 

 

Format

• Toy Orchestra instruments,

• Short performance by Big Beat team followed by a collective session.

• Delegates will learn an interactive piece based on simple rhythms and tunes.

• Each table has a selection of the following: animal voices, squeaky beer bottles, woo tubes, twirly drums, train whistles and other weird sounding toys,

• They can choose a well known nursery rhyme or tune like ‘Thomas the Tank Engine' to create their piece to or create an original composition.

• These wonderful creations are then performed to the other groups.

• We present prizes to the best group as voted by the rest of the groups in the style of the Eurovision Song contest.

 

Accompanying this will be a professional comedy musical duo who will perform throughout the evening with audience participation i.e. at certain times a tune will be played which has a specific toy sound to go with it.

The comedy duo then comperes a Eurovision style contest with each table/group voting on a points system for each other.

 

 

This is a perfect evening's entertainment where the audience becomes part of the entertainment and fun.
