MUSICAL THEATRE DAY

Re-enacting ‘Old Bamboo' from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang
A day of music, song, rhythm, choreography and set/costume making

4 groups consisting of:

• a group to be chorus line learning 1-2 songs with pianist
• a group to learn choreography to accompany song "Old Bamboo"
• a group to learn a stick routine with long and short broom handles
• a group to design and make set

Outline
All 4 groups to work with artists to produce a final routine of 10-20 minutes in costume and on a temporary stage.
The song "old bamboo" from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang will be performed with piano accompaniment and interludes from the dance section and stick section with a coming together (space permitting) at the end.
The set design/makers are potentially the audience.
