For The Record
For the Record has been designed to deliver a CD that can be rehearsed, recorded, mastered and printed in one day.
The first session is set out as the teaching and rehearsing of the drumming piece, for this Big Beat will teach a Brazilian Samba Reggae piece all the participants have a drum or percussion instrument and this will last approximately 1-2 hours.
We then bring in the brass section which can be trumpet, trombone and sax depending on budget. A predetermined tune is played with the drumming piece and both band and brass rehearse together.
The recording session
The piece will take about 2-3 takes before we have the best possible recording.
Once the recording is finished the sound engineer will master the recordings ready for final duplication. Whilst this is happening the inserts for the CD will be finished this involves a credit to all the individuals who played and which instrument they played. The CDs will be pre-printed with company logo and other information.
The whole process of mastering and duplication takes around 3 hours for 10-30 finished CDs this will start immediately after the recording session so by the evening the group, if staying on for dinner at the venue, will have the finished packaged CD to take home with them!
Other notes
This is a perfect days team building session designed for a group from 10 – 30, which gives a quick turnaround at the end. If the group is leaving immediately after the event then we can send on the finished CDs as required.
Big Beat can also spread the event over two days if required to fit in with other activities that may be going on
